Meet Amit Jain
Amit Jain is a senior IT and digital transformation leader with 22 years of experience across banking, insurance, fintech, and cybersecurity. He has a strong track record in program governance, strategic planning, process automation, and application and product development. He has delivered measurable outcomes for some of the world's leading financial institutions.
Currently, based in Pune, Amit leads a high-impact cybersecurity program at Barclays, bringing his expertise in risk-integrated delivery and strategic leadership to one of the most recognized banking brands globally. He holds a Senior Management Programme Certification from IIM Kozhikode and carries an impressive set of certifications: PMP®, PMI-ACP®, DASSM, CSQA, and FLMI Level 1, reflecting both his technical depth and his commitment to lifelong learning.
Beyond his corporate role, Amit is a published voice on the intersection of technology and leadership. He has completed his debut thriller novel, "Zero Day Ethics", a gripping narrative set at the crossroads of AI, fintech, and the ethical dilemmas of our digital age, and is currently exploring publishing partnerships to bring it to readers. Whether he is steering enterprise programmes, coaching professionals, or crafting stories that interrogate the technology that shapes our world, Amit's focus is constant: clarity of thought, depth of purpose, and impact that lasts.
Passion for Volunteering
Amit's commitment to community is not a chapter from his past. It is a thread that runs through everything he does. It began in the 8th grade, when he volunteered with the National Literacy Mission to teach functional literacy to 15 women in a rural village. That early experience of seeing lives transform through knowledge became a defining lens through which he has viewed leadership ever since.
In 2014, Amit joined the PMI Pune-Deccan India Chapter as a volunteer. Over the following years, he rose steadily through its leadership, eventually serving as EVP and COO. In 2018, he took on the role of Conference Director for the PMI Regional Conference, a landmark event attended by more than 400 delegates. Today, he continues to hold an active leadership role at PMI, contributing to strategic initiatives that advance the global project management community.
For Amit, volunteering has never been separate from professional growth. It is professional growth. The ability to lead without authority, to build communities, and to develop others alongside yourself is, in his view, the truest measure of a leader.
